In order to practice any economic activity within the travel industry in Cape Verde the state requires a simplified travel agency licensing. Licensing is aimed at obtaining a certificate / permit or license that gives the holder permission to operate within the specified area..
Who can apply?
Business person or its representative with a power of attorney.
Where can I apply?
- Casa do Cidadão.
- Direção Geral do Turismo.
When can I apply?
Anytime during regular working hours
Applicant:
- Proxy (in the event request is made through an intermediate)
- Identification document - ID Card/Passport
- Tax Identification Number Statement.
Documents required for Business
- Commercial Registration;
- Company’s Bylaws;
- Liability insurance policy in DGT’s ( General Directorate of Labor) behalf;
- Deposit made in DGT’s ( General Directorate of Labor) name;
Required Document Manager (Technical Director)
- Identification document;
- Tax Identification Number;
- Power of attorney, minutes or commercial registration naming the manager;
- Curriculum Vitae;
- Copy of College Diploma or Certificate;
- Authenticated copies of training certificates received;
- Authenticated copies of supervisory positions and jobs held in other Travel and Tourism Agencies and other tourism services;
- Proof of Foreign Language Skills;
- Criminal Record Certificate;
- Manager’s certificate of nationality, if a foreigner.
How much does it cost?
Variable rate issued by the member of the Government responsible for tourism and for each municipality.
