The people of Cape Verde, giving its tradition, enjoy a festive atmosphere. The country is rich in popular manifestations. Throughout the year occurs several festivities in several localities. These festivities, most of the time, echoes abroad to our immigrant community.

January

January 5^th – Day of Kings in the Island of Brava.
January 6^th – Day of Kings – In the Island of Boavista in João Galego and in São Nicolau in Ribeira da Prata/Juncalinho.
January 15^th – Day of Municipality of Tarrafal – A big festival of “Nhô Santo Amaro” in the island of Santiago, city of Tarrafal.
January 17^th – Day of Municipality if Ribeira Grande – Festival in Santo Antão, city of Ribeira Grande.
January 20^th – Day of São Sebastião – Festivals in the Island of Fogo and Brava in variety of localities.
January 22^nd – Dia do Município de São Vicente – festival em São Vicente, Mindelo.

February

February 2nd – Day of N. Sra. Do Rosário in the Island of Maio.
February 2nd– Festivities of “Nho Febrero” in São Domingos in the Island of Santiago.
