The Maritime Transport in Cape Verde contributes to greater integration of trade between the islands, but also to promote international trade. The national fleet consists of various categories of ships, cargo vessels, general cargo vessels, "Roll-on/Roll-off" tanks and tankers. Similarly, Cape Verde receives through its harbor ship cargos and tourists transportation from several origins.
